What we're looking for

Core Remedial Massage Therapist Skills Required

Technical Skills

Anatomical and physiological knowledge
Proficient in remedial techniques (e.g. deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release)
Assessment and treatment planning based on client history and condition
Manual therapy techniques tailored to individual needs
Soft tissue injury management
Knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., sciatica, tendonitis, postural dysfunctions)

Client-Focused Skills

Clear communication to explain treatments and outcomes
Active listening to understand client concerns
Empathy and professionalism in client interactions
Building trust and rapport with diverse clients
Adaptability to adjust treatment based on client feedback and comfort

Administrative & Compliance Skills

Clinical note-taking and documentation
Understanding of health fund requirements
Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and infection control standards
Appointment scheduling and time management
Ability to maintain professional records and insurance compliance
